Weddings

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!

Your wedding day should be one that you and your fiancé will remember for the rest of your lives.

I would be honoured to perform your wedding at any place special to you and help you celebrate one of the most special of days in your life.

There are many options to choose from when planning a wedding.  You can choose to have a very small, intimate affair with two witnesses and a Celebrant or you can go as large as your budget will allow.

Since I am located on the Mid North Coast of NSW, ceremony locations are almost endless!  Our area offers many different settings for your special day, from an outdoor setting on a beach, riverside at sunset, to a beautiful indoor setting at any one of the local venues. A theme wedding such as Medieval or 60's. The decision is yours and endless.

I will work with you to create a beautiful ceremony that is unique to you and ensure that your ceremony reflects the wishes, hopes and personalities of you and your fiancé.

The first step of the Journey

As soon as you decide that you would like me to conduct your ceremony, you need to secure a booking. I accept bookings up to 18 months ahead, especially for the popular summer season.

Once a booking has been made with me, an interview time will be arranged. At this interview we will discuss what is needed for the legal requirements. The first legal requirement is that a "Notice of Intended Marriage" must be lodged with me, a maximum of 18 months and a minimum of one clear calendar month prior to the date of your marriage. You both need to be over the age of 18 years. I need to sight both parties original Birth Certificate or a current Passport and one form of photo ID. I require evidence of termination of any previous marriage, or of a change of name.

To secure the day and time of your marriage a deposit of $100.00 will be required at the initial interview. No date will be reserved without this fee. In the event of a cancellation; the booking fee is not refundable.

Next we will discuss your ceremony and the use of rituals, symbolic acts and having family or friends involved, or anything else that you may wish to incorporate into your ceremony. You will also have unlimited contact with me via email and phone.

The second step of the Journey

We will discuss ideas for the wording you would like, what readings and any symbolic acts that you wish to include. The more that is written or chosen by you, the more unique your ceremony will be. During this time, I will be able to create a ceremony that reflects your individual choices. A draft copy of this ceremony will be sent to you for changes and your approval.

The final meeting before the big day is usually held within the week before the event, if possible a rehearsal at the location of the wedding. At this time, we will look at positioning of the bridal party, rehearse any rituals chosen and discuss final preparations, including any late changes to the ceremony.

At this time final payment for your ceremony is due. Payment is required seven days prior to the ceremony date completing the total cost of the Ceremony fee.

The final step of the Journey

On the day, I will arrive at the wedding location at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. During this time I will check all of the necessary arrangements, set up a table for the signing of your Marriage Certificate, chat with the groom & members of the bridal party and liaise with the venue operators if necessary.

As part of my fee I provide a table, chair and decorative pen for signing the documents, Portable PA system with wireless microphones and Phone/IPod connection for playing music.

I provide all my couples with a beautiful keepsake copy of their ceremony.

In the days after your Marriage I will lodge your legal documents for registration with the Office of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
